“I can truly say that a new door opened for me with regarding my fitness when I began my Crossfit journey with Crossfit Train. I do not know what took me so long! Health, fitness and wellness have always been a backbone to my everyday living. I grew up as an athlete, where a few sports would inevitably give way to a strong focus on soccer and mountain biking; I got a bachelor’s degree in Physiology; and a Master’s Degree in Public Health; I have numerous fitness certifications; I also had a 9-year career in the Health and Wellness industry. Therefore, I thought I had a decent perspective on how things “were, or should be,” in the fitness world, but I was very wrong! This journey is different, and while there is an internal drive to improve performance and become a better individual athlete, that drive is all inspired by this community and coaching. It is as if I am finally able to be back on the field, competing all over again from my soccer days!

I was all-in once I saw the amazing ability that Brooke has in bringing out the best in each athlete, and how she incorporated simple things that turn into things that I will remember for the rest of my life. I saw how I could confide in this coaching staff, how they were trustworthy, how the community is loyal to one another, and most importantly how much fun everything is! In the past, I was so immersed in a routine at the gym and I got so bored that I would question the point of fitness in my life. It became so bad that I realized that I had built a career around something (the health and wellness industry) where I could no longer find a spark.  After joining Train I was re-inspired, I became so humbled by “how I could move better” and become more efficient in my movements, and get better every single day! I couldn’t wait for the next workout!

It was through this humbling process that Brooke and her staff re-lit a fire for me that had burnt out and gave me an opportunity to share this process with others. I feel as though I have always had an innate way of relating to others through coaching and teaching, I just had to find something again in my life that I was passionate about, and through this journey, I know Train is the place where I found it.”
