How Community Built My Strongest Season

Fitness has always been a constant in my life. Growing up in small town Maine, I was deeply involved in both soccer and figure skating – two sports that taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of showing up even when it’s hard. That foundation shaped who I am, and it naturally led me to keep pursuing an active lifestyle into adulthood.
Over the years, my fitness journey has evolved, but one thing has stayed the same: the importance of community. That’s exactly what I found when I joined CrossFit Train. It’s more than just a workout – it’s a place where people show up for each other, push each other, and celebrate every win, big or small.
The friendships I’ve built here have become a meaningful part of my life. The support I’ve received – both inside and outside the gym – has been nothing short of unconditional, especially during difficult times. There is something really powerful about walking into a space where you don’t have to explain yourself. People notice when you’re having a great day, and they notice when you’re not. Either way, you’re not doing it alone.
In the past four years, I’ve taken on a new challenge: bodybuilding. It’s pushed me in entirely different ways, demanding a new level of discipline, focus, and mental toughness. Recently, I achieved one of my proudest milestones – winning the overall at my last competition, which qualified me for a national show. I’m now preparing to step on the national stage (hopefully) this summer, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.
Throughout this journey, CrossFit has stayed in my routine. It fuels my motivation, keeps my training dynamic, and plays a big role in my conditioning and cardio. More importantly, it keeps me grounded. No matter what goal I’m chasing, I know I have a community behind me that genuinely cares.
CrossFit Train has given me more than fitness – it’s given me connection, support, and a place that feels like home.
